Bluebell Walk 20th April 10-4pm. HELP NEEDED

After missing out the last 2 years we have a date for our Charity Day at the Bluebell Walk. (enclosed is the leaflet)

On the day there will be lunches, afternoon teas and all manner of refreshments. There are short walks or longer walks or you can just come along to enjoy the food and meet up with friends. This is one of our main fundraisers for the year, so would love to see most of you there.

We also need help on the day and lots of yummy cakes. So let Carol know if you can offer any help at all.

Opera Workshop.

Finally it looks like we can go ahead with our singing sessions with the children of St Andrews school.

It will be for  6 weeks ending with a short performance. Please let me know if you would like to attend as spaces are limited.

Provisional dates are 1.30-3pm on

9th, 16th, 23rd May

13th, 20th, 27th June.

We say goodbye to Michael.  A sweet gentleman who will be much missed at our groups, especially our singing group. Our thoughts go to Kay and her family.

‍

We say goodbye to Doug. Another quiet  gentleman who will be much missed. Lovely memories of him at groups and park meetings. Our thoughts go to Maureen  and her family.

This is a shot of the hoarding in St.Paul’s Cathedral. Behind it  is going to be a memorial. Here

people who have lost someone to Covid, can bring up their photo  virtually. There will also be a  chapel where bereaved people can sit for a while and contemplate their memories.  People can find out how to access the virtual photo system on St Paul’s website.  It is hoped the memorial will be completed by May.  There will be a memorial concert in St Paul’s on 23 March at 7pm. Tickets have now all gone but hopefully it will be recorded to be shown on television.

Thanks to Peggy for this piece. She will be at the concert and we look forward to hearing all about it.

Thank you

Many thanks to the family of Mary Connor who raised £210 in lieu of flowers for her funeral.

Thanks to Anntoinette Haddock for her kind donation in memory of Ken Speed.

Thanks to Peggy & Ian Maskell for £100 in memory of Ray.
